Pray Without Ceasing

Constantly, we are reminded in the Word of God to pray continually, without ceasing, and to give thanks in all things.  As believers we are to cast our cares on Jesus, so that our lives are not full of anxiety and fear.
Paul exhorts us in Philippians 4:6 :

New International Version Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
New Living Translation Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done

When we approach things in our lives with fear and anxiety, it dulls our spiritual senses and distorts our ability to properly interact with the Lord.  The Holy Spirit speaks to us and leads us by the inner witness on the inside.  Whenever we allow fear and sin to dominate our lives and our concious,  our sensitvity to hear His voice will fade.  Guarding our hearts and keeping our concious clean is a very important discipline in our relationship with the Lord.

How we pray is just as important as what we pray.  If our hearts are right before God and man then He will hear us when we pray.  Our attitude and interaction with each other weighs in the outcome of our effectiveness in prayer just as much as our interaction with the Lord does.

So commit to praying continually and to give thanks for all things.

At the altar

Often at times the enemy comes to us and attempts to place blame, guilt, and fear upon us. It is always accusations with the enemy. Yet we have to remember who we really are and where we really stand. The bible says that:

Ephesians 2:4

"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,"

Beloved, we are the chosen of God. A special people who have been sanctified and redeemed in His sight through the blood of Christ Jesus. We are washed as white as snow through His grace and mercy. We have peace with God through Him. Not based on our own deeds or on our own abilities.

Ephesians 2:8

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. "

Many times we find ourselves struggling to be fully pleasing to the Lord, without coming to the full comprehension that we are already pleasing in His sight.

Hebrews 10:14

"For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified."

You see, under the old covenant a priest would need to go before the altar of the Lord continually, making sacrifices for the sins of the people. We too at times can find oursleves attempting to go back to that same altar to offer our "good works" to the Lord thinking that by some means we can become more acceptable to Him.

Friends, let me tell you that the Lord Jesus Christ has already completed the work upon His cross. He has forever sanctified you in the sight of the Father. You are fully accepted, fully presentable, and fully justified in His presence.

Hebrews 4:16 says:

"Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace"

You are accepted. Today is a day of victory and rejoicing in Christ Jesus. Today come boldy to His throne. Today celebrate the completed work of Jesus upon the cross.  He is exalted forever and ever. He alone is worthy of all the praise, glory, and honor. Amen

DO NOT DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS

Luke 16:10  “He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.

Do not despise the day of small beginnings, or small acts of obedience.   When Jesus performed an amazing miracle, it did not always require great obedience, it just required obedience.  Sometimes great miracles are wrapped up in small acts of obedience.  Being faithful in the little things is what the Lord watches for.  The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the earth, looking for hearts that are fully His.  God is looking for hearts of obedience, not in big, important in the eyes of everyone type of things.  It means obedient to the least and to the greatest instruction that the Holy Spirit might give to you.  Be faithful to God no matter how insignificant His assignments and instructions might seem to you.

God's Will For Your Life

1 Thess 5:15-18  Amplified Bible
15See that none of you repays another with evil for evil, but always aim to show kindness and seek to do good to one another and to everybody.
    16Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always);
    17Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];
    18Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

Many of us spend countless hours trying so hard to figure out what the will of God is for our lives.   These few verses give a very practicle foundation for doing the will of God.

1.    Be happy and rejoice always.

2.   Pray without ceasing (pray continually)

3.   Be thankful and give thanks in all things.

Start with these three things, as you seek God on these issues allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into truth and to help you bear the fruit of the Spirit and show the character of Christ.

Learn to rejoice in every situation, knowing that God will reward you if you keep the right attitude.

Pray and seek the Father's plans concerning every trial and circumstance you face.

Have an attitude of gratitude when you are facing the challenges of the day.

God will honor you as you honor His Word.

Renew Your Strength

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

When we face our trials daily, many times we grow weary and feel like laying down.  But we must continue to fight the good fight of faith, knowing that God is on our side, we can press on with confidence in the Lord.   Waiting is trusting, and we must learn to trust in God and in His way of doing things.  Trusting in someone takes time, and is cultivated.  As we spend time with Our Heavenly Father, we gain confidence in His direction for our lives.  Learn to wait in His Presence, don't rush from the Presence of the Lord.  When you enjoy something you hang around and linger.   Learn to linger in the  Glory Realm.  We are changed when we spend time with Him.  His Holy Spirit will quicken your mortal body.  He will impart strength to your body, mind, and your spirit.  Stay in His Presence.  Don't hurry from His Glory.

People Are In Pursuit of Purpose

Proverbs 29:18  Where there is no vision(revelation) the people perish, or cast off restraint....

What is life about?   Why am I here?    Who am I?  These questions are some of the most commonly asked amoung men and woman that are seeking purpose, and trying to find out what to do with their lives.   These questions are universal.  Philosophers such as Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates and others throughout the ages have attempted to explore these questions.  Unfortunately their efforts have ended in more questions than answers.  No person or book can answer these questions in their entirety, except God and His Word.  His holy word, that was established in the Bible. It will shed light on one of the most darkest places a person can be in their lives.  In a life without purpose.  There is even more for the Christian, far beyond Salvation, and Baptism in the Holy Spirit.  God created all of us for an original purpose, and only when we connect with Him, will we discover what we were created for.
     The greatest tradgedy in life is not death, but life that is without a reason or purpose.  It is dangerous to be alive and not know why you were given life.  The deepest craving of the human spirit is to find a sense of relevance and significance.  This is the ultimate pursuit of man.  This need for significance is the cause of some of the greatest tradegies, suicides, and even murders.  Serial killers put off their anti social behavior, on the fact that they needed to feel important, or acquire some sense of self-worth.  This passion for relevance makes ethnic groups try to rise against each other, while giving birth to prejudice and bringing injustice to our world.  This desire for significance causes leaders to develop into tyrants and dictators, who for the feeling of power and control will sacrifice character, integrity and even sacrifice human life to fill the void they are experiencing.  There are millions who sacrifice their families, friends and convictions in an attempt to gain this relevance.
     This passion and pursuit of purpose knows no boundaries and limits.  Man or woman, rich or poor, it affects us all.  King and peasant are subject to it's law, and suffer under it's rule.  This yearning for purpose needs  to be dealt with, and the internal vacuum it has created inside of people needs to be filled .  Finding your purpose, and the reason God created you is the only source of individual and coroporate fulfillment.  Purpose is the Key to life.

 It is very important that in your experience with your creator, you find what you were created to do.  Ask God to reveal His plan for you as an individual. or even for your family.  He says call and He will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you do not know... (Jer 33:3)

We do not want to walk through this life blind, we need to know the direction we are going with our lives
Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. 1 Corinthians 9:26

Don't Stop Fighting

video

Matthew 5:11-12
 11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

God never told you to quit.  So why would you?   You will always be confronted by your enemy whenever he feels threatened,  We are in a spiritual battle, we are told to wage a good warefare.  Fight a good fight,means to not draw back in the things of God.  Like any army that is preparing for and then encountering a battle, we as the army of God must not give our enemy a foothold.  We must not let his army of darkness advance on God's Kingdom.  David had to face his enemies, with a confidence and boldness in his God.  He took out Goliath with a sling and a stone.  Apart from the plan of God, there was no way that the Giant was going down with a stone.  Apart from Christ you can do nothing, but with Him and through Him, you can do all things.   The giants in you life, will come down if yu obey the leading of the LORD with confidence.  Don't stp fighting, you will reap in due season if you faint not.

Shifting Into A New Season

Get ready for the shift, you need to be ready in and out of season, so when the transition takes place you won't be caught off guard.  The enemy like to get us distracted whenever it is time to shift, If he can tilt us just a little he can send us off on a wrong course.  We must remain focused on the Lord and not the changing circumstances around us.  God is the constant in our lives, and as long as we allow Him to dictate our lives, He can walk us through total victory.  He knows the end from the beginning.  He has a plan, a hope and a future for your life.  Stay sensitive to His voice during this rapidly changing season.

Our Father
We are in a time where we desperatly need to know our Heavenly Father. There is a lack of Fatherhood in our nation. Everywhere across the board for one reason or another, children are being raised without the blessing and wisdom of their father in their lives. That is not to say for some, the character and behavior of their fathers, is not worth the wisdom or blessing that they have to impart. As a people, we need to find, get to know, and learn to follow Our Heavenly Father's direction in our lives. Everyone needs their Heavenly Father's blessing in thier lives, in order to function and develope properly.

Let's look to heaven, and reach for an intimate relationship with the one who loves us more than anyone. Ask Him in today, ask Him to lead you. He gives good gifts to His children.

God Is Not Slack

2Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some people understand slowness, but is being patient with you...

God is always giving good gifts to His children.  He is always on time and never late for anything.  There is a timing and a season for everything that exists.  The purposes and plans of God operatee in His timing, how He desires.  He is soverign and in control of everything.  He decides the timing and the season that He wants to intervene in your life.  He walks in, or walks out of a situation or circumstance whenever He pleases.  The Word of God declares in the book of Psalms the the Lord does whatever He pleases.  Rememberwhen Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, and how everyone was upset because thay thought Jesus would rescue Lazarus before his death.  Jesus knew exactly how that was going down.  He knew He was the resurrection and the life.  He knew how He would deliver Lazarus from his present situation.  He was right on time with His plans and purposes.  We need to realize how God wants to deliver us may not be what we think we need.  It may not happen when we think it should, but God is not slack, He is not slow, He is always right on time.

Nothing else that I can say, God is Good.  No matter how you see it, God is good.  God has been so good to me, I just want to thank Him.

He is Real

God is alive and moving in our midst today.  He is keeping His promise and is pouring out His Spirit on ALL FLESH.  He is truly touching the hearts, minds, bodies, and the lives of men, women, and children throughout the Earth.  He is looking for hearts that are fully His.   Is your heart in tune and turned toward God today.  He says in His Word. Today, If you hear His voice, do not harden your heart.  We need to keep our hearts open and yielded to the things of the Spirit of God.   God is real, and He wants to reveal Himself to those who are really seeking Him.  "Draw near to me and I will draw near to you", says the Lord.
Religion and tradition of men's ideas and words will not reveal Christ and His Spirit to you, it must come by revelation.  When God tugs on your heart by the Holy Spirit, He declares, no one can come to God, unless the Spirit draw him.  Man can not do this it must be a move of the Holy Spirit that will bring transformation  into the Earth.  He is doing it by His Spirit.  "Unless the Lord build the house they labor in vain that build it".
He is more than just a history book, He is more than a religion, or an idea, He is real.

Set Appointments With God

Acts 3:1 "Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour."

Great people of God have great habits.  Get in the discipline of prayer each day.  Your discipline will birth a habit and eventually, will become a joy and a pleasure to you.  Make appointments with God, you make appointments with everyone else.  Doctors schedule appointments, businessmen schedule meetings, and othe professional people make appointments with you.  Even your friends make appointments with you.  Start making scheduled appointments with God.  On a daily basis, find some time that you can get alone with God in your "secret place", prayer closet, or wherever you can meet with Him.  You must get in His presence daily, hear His voice daily, and cleanse your mind and heart daily.  Your success in life is contingent upon meeting with God everyday. Make the time and take the time to pour your heart out to Him.  He's waiting for you to come. Set appointments with God and Keep Them.  God Honors those who Honor Him.

God is Good

God is Good
Praying Always in Spirit and Truth

 Do you remain thankful even in the hard times?  God tells us to rejoice always.
Are You thankful continually?  Allowing the Spirit of Truth to fill you life and your heart.
It's time to walk with an attitude of grattitude.  The greatest cure for ingrattitude is loss.
The joy of the Lord will be your strength if you allow the Holy Spirit to take control of your emotions and your mind.  The Word tells us to cast down every vain imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ.  We are told to take every thought captive to the obedience of the Word of God.  Praise Him,  Praise Him,  Praise Him.  Psalm 100 declares;
1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
 2 Worship the LORD with gladness;
   come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the LORD is God, and not we ourselves
   It is he who made us, and we are his;
   we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
   and his courts with praise;
   give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
   his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Who's Your Daddy?

THERE IS AN IDENTITY CRISIS IN THE WORLD AND IN THE BODY OF CHRIST.  AS A WHOLE, WE DON'T KNOW WHO OUR DADDY IS.  WHO'S YOUR DADDY?, HAS BECOME A POPULAR STATEMENT.  A VERY TRUE ONE INDEED!  Our Father which art in Heaven, Jesus told us to pray Our Father, He did not refer to Him as His Father although He was his Father.  He is OUR Heavenly Father.  There is an identity crisis in our nation and across the world.  We have entered into the fields of the fatherless.   There is a lack of Fatherhood in our nation.  Everywhere across the board for one reason or another, children are being raised without the blessing and wisdom of their father in their lives.  That is not to say for some, the character and behavior of their fathers, is not worth  the wisdom or blessing that they have to impartWe are in a time where we desperatly need to know our Heavenly Father.  As a people, we need to find, get to know, and learn to follow Our Heavenly Father's direction in our lives.  Everyone needs their Heavenly Father's blessing in thier lives, in order to function and develope properly.

Have an Attitude of Gratitude

God tells us to enter His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts, and to enter His courts with Praise.  We need to remain thankful.  God is big on attitiude remember Moses, his attitude when he struck the rock kept him out of the Promised Land.   Thankfulness and gratitude go a long way in God's Kingdom.  They can really make a difference in the seasons of your life.   Great achievers are appreciative and thankful.  Loss is the quickest cure for ingratitude.  Find ways to express your appreciation to God and to people.  Thank You Jesus for giving us the treasure of Yourself.

Right On Time

God is not slack concerning His promises in our lives.  The Word of God declares, the righteous have never been forsaken, and their seed have never had to beg for bread.  Praise God, that He is a Provider.  He really is an ever present help in time of need.  When the storms of life are headed our direction, we need to speak to God about the circumstances in our lives.  He has the ability to calm the storm.  In fact, He declared that NO WEAPON FORMED OR FASHIONED AGAINST YOU IS GOING TO PROSPER.  You can speak to every mountain and enemy in your life, and not let them stand in the way of your victory.  Don't let your inheritance slip through your fingers.  Believe God for it.  Go after it, and apprehend it.  God is for you, He is not against you, unless of course you're against Him.  He wants you to experience the rich joy of His salvation, and the blessings that come with knowing Him.  He is not slow, He does not leave His people forsaken.  He is a good Father, who always gives good gifts to His children.  Whatever He has promised you, you can trust Him to do it.  He is always right on time with His promises in our lives.
